
Research and Industry: Cagliari, 5-6 June 2025
On 5 and 6 June 2025, two events will take place in Cagliari, sponsored by RUS and supported by Politecnico di Milano.
On Thursday, 5 June, the Sardinia Sustainability Summit will be held at EXMA (Centro Comunale d’Arte e Cultura). The summit, focused on the theme Declining Sustainability as a Driver for Innovation and Development, is officially endorsed by the RUS-Network of Universities for Sustainable Development.
The programme features distinguished speakers, including Professor Enrico Giovannini (Director of ASVIS) and Professor Carmine Trecroci, the newly appointed RUS President.
On Friday, 6 June, at 9:00 a.m. in the Aula Magna ‘Gaetano Cima’ at the University of Cagliari (Faculty of Engineering and Architecture), the Conference “Research and Industry: from Territories to the Country System” will be held. This event, with a large representation of RUS exponent, will focus on the role of universities in advancing sustainable transitions and highlighting exemplary practices established to support industry.
The Round Table, entitled ‘Territorial Synergies for the Development of the Country System in the Long Term’, will include contributions from various experts, such as Eleonora Perotto, Politecnico di Milano, Coordinator of the RUS Resources & Waste Working Group.
Both events are promoted and organised by the University of Cagliari.
