The 2025Home-Work/University Commute Plan of Politecnico di Milano is now available

The 2025 edition of Home-Work/University Commute Plan (HWCP) of Politecnico di Milano is now available online. Presented in the Academic Senate on 15 December, 2025, and in the Board of Directors on 22 December, 2025, the Plan represents an update of the previous 2024 HWCP and is the outcome of a participatory process involving more than 70 people, including professors and technical-administrative staff, involved at multiple levels. The Plan was drafted based on the results of the mobility habits and modal shift propensity survey carried out in 2024, as well as on the targeted public transport survey conducted in 2025.

In particular, the 2025 HWCP outlines the progress of the actions included in the 2024 Plan, with their review in line with the development of context and projects and identifies possible future actions. These will be further explored in the next edition of the document (HWCP 2026), according to their feasibility and consistency with the upcoming 2026-2028 Strategic Plan.

After a preface and a short introduction, the 2025 HWCP is  organized  into different sections: analysis of the regulatory, territorial and infrastructural context (outside and inside the Campuses) and of the available mobility offer; analysis of mobility demand and propensity to change, with a focus on public transport (2025 survey); ongoing and future projects concerning the University’s Campuses; identification of strategic actions to promote sustainable mobility and an assessment of their related impacts. The document ends with final considerations.
