Sustainability News

Communicating, disseminating and raising awareness on sustainability issues, reducing CO2 emissions, encouraging sustainable mobility and promoting the principles of the circular economy are among the objectives included in the Politecnico’s sustainability strategy, which is inspired by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN 2030 Agenda (SDGs).

For this purpose, starting in 2019, the Environmental Sustainability Service designed and published the Sustainability News newsletter.

The contribution of Departments, regional Campuses, Students and Staff was significant in providing content for the Newsletter.

With the December 2023 issue, publication of Sustainability News came to an end, making way for a new editorial project.

Since 1 October 2024, “Orizzonti Sostenibili” has been available: the new Politecnico di Milano newsletter dedicated to sustainable development and addressed to the entire Politecnico community. It can also be accessed from the University’s institutional website: Newsletter Orizzonti sostenibili.

The monthly newsletter is produced by a broad editorial team, which also includes students.

The editorial supervisor is the Vice Rector for Sustainable Development and Impact, Professor Alessandro Perego.
