Climate Neutrality: the Municipality of Milan’s podcast series
During the Festival of Sustainable Development promoted by ASviS, we would like to highlight a series of podcasts produced by the Municipality of Milan aimed at informing citizens about its commitment to the Climate City Contract (CCC, 2024).
The main goal of this initiative is to achieve climate neutrality by 2030.
Politecnico di Milano, together with 24 other stakeholders – including four additional universities (Università Bocconi, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Milano, Università degli Studi Milano Statale, and Università degli Studi Milano-Bicocca) – has also endorsed the CCC.
The series, developed in collaboration with IED-Istituto Europeo di Design, is accessible on the City of Milan new Spotify channel and explores key aspects of Milan’s Climate Contract. It aims to raise awareness regarding the efforts of the Administration and the 25 signatory stakeholders.
Each episode of ‘Milano Cambia Aria – Climate City Contract’ addresses essential topics on the city’s pathway to climate neutrality, with particular focus on SDGs 7, 9, 11, 12, and 13.
Topics range from energy efficiency and regeneration to environmental and social sustainability, mobility, and the importance of green infrastructure for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
The introductory teaser is presented by Professor Francesca Rizzo of the Politecnico di Milano (Design Department) and by City Councilor Elena Grandi.
Francesco Cavazzana (Supplies & Facility Management Division Manager) and Eleonora Perotto (University Mobility Manager), both from the Politecnico di Milano, contributed to episodes 1 and 4.
