The first International Staff Training Week organized by the Politecnico di Milano, entirely dedicated to environmental sustainability, will kick off on Monday, October 6, 2025.
UNIVERSITIES IN TRANSITION: Inspiring Strategies for Sustainable Campuses is an international event that will see the participation of 20 guests from various European universities. It forms part of the initiatives that the University is dedicating to environmental sustainability and internationalisation: a cross-cutting commitment involving the entire academic community, aimed at strengthening the international network.
The event, promoted as part of the Politecnico’s internationalisation activities, will offer an opportunity for discussion and collaboration among technical and administrative staff, professors and researchers, to encouraging the exchange of best practices and the development of new shared strategies on the themes of environmental sustainability.
The week’s programme will take place across the Leonardo and Bovisa Campuses of the University and will include plenary sessions, working groups and visits to university laboratories and facilities, with particular attention given to projects already launched by the Politecnico in sustainable mobility, circular economy, and energy transition, with a specific focus on actions to combat climate change.
The synergy between the Environmental Sustainability Service, the International Mobility Service and the International Relations Service, with the support of other Services, Departments, as well as the lecturers and researchers involved, has been fundamental to bringing the event to life.
