In recent years, Politecnico di Milano started a review and dematerialization of its administrative processes, leading to numerous actions aimed at reducing paper usage. A comprehensive multi-year project (2020-2022) was launched, coordinated by the university’s ICT Area, which has made it possible to achieve significant and encouraging results.
In particular, the review and digitalization of procedures, initiated in 2020, has already had important impacts, thanks to the synergistic collaboration of various departments, in the following areas:
- Teaching (e.g., management of scholarships, degree programs, Master’s programs, admissions and registrations for international students)
- Research (e.g., project reporting, etc.)
- Personnel (e.g., hiring procedures and personnel management)
- Institutional activities (e.g., document management, procedures for the disposal of special waste, online voting).
The activities will continue in the future with specific objectives identified in collaboration with the Administrative Directorate.
