On Monday, December 9th, 2024, the conference “The effects of the New European Legislation on Ecodesign and ‘Green Claims’ on Voluntary Certifications EMAS, Ecolabel and Made Green in Italy” will be held in Florence.

The conference is organized by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety in collaboration with the Ecolabel and Ecoaudit Committee and the Istituto Superiore S. Anna of Pisa, and will focus on some key issues for the competitiveness of companies, with particular regard to eco-design of products and marketing and communication strategies related to products with high environmental qualification.

In particular, the conference will illustrate the aim of voluntary certifications EMAS, Ecolabel and Made Green in Italy linked to the new regulation on Ecodesign of products (EU Regulation 2024/1781) and the regulations on “Greenwashing” and “Green Claims”.

Among others, we highlight the speech by Sergio Terzi (Politecnico di Milano – Department of Management Engineering), on the panel discussion: The Contribution of Research to Ecodesign and the Reduction of the Environmental Footprint of Products, leaded by Eleonora Perotto (RUS Resources & Waste Working Group Coordinator and Head of Environmental Sustainability Unit  – Politecnico di Milano).
