How do you reach the Politecnico? The new mobility survey is now available (until October…
The Politecnico di Milano, with its Mobility manager and the support of the ICT Area – launches the 2024 edition of the mobility survey. It aims at ascertaining the modes of transport used to travel to and from the university, and availability of the Politecnico population to change these habits.
The survey in brief has three main goals:
-it represents the basis for the drafting of the Home-Work/Home-University Commute Plan, which defines the measures needed to promote more sustainable forms of mobility;
-it aims to quantify the University’s CO2 emissions linked to the transport sector, necessary for the drafting of the annual Emission Inventory and the University Mitigation Plan;
-the survey is also relevant for guiding the sustainable mobility projects of the University, the City and the Region.
Making Mobility more sustainable is moreover one of the goals that the University intends to achieve, as defined in the Strategic Sustainability Plan 2023-2025. In order to improve both the quality, liveability and accessibility of the areas inside and outside the campuses. As well as the commuter safety, promoting active mobility as well, with the overall aim of reducing the total emissions caused by access to the campuses.
The contribution of everyone – students, PhD students, research fellows, teaching staff, technical-administrative staff – it is therefore fundamental to enable the University to identify the priority actions for promoting a more sustainable mobility.
The survey will be available until October 7th, 2024 (new deadline) on the Online Services platform, by accessing the ‘Data’ section and selecting ‘Filling the questionnaire in’ or via this LINK.
