The RUS “Resources and Waste Working Group”, coordinated by POLIMI, takes part in the Sardinia…
From 13 to 17 October 2025, the 20th International Symposium on Waste Management, Resource Recovery and Sustainable Landfilling will be held in Cagliari (at Forte Village).
Now in its twentieth edition, the Symposium represents a unique opportunity for critical analysis and discussion of innovative ideas and pioneering approaches.
Sardinia 2025 scientific programme, structured in eight parallel sessions, consists of a total of 107 sessions and over 400 presentations, which will take place in various formats: oral sessions, workshops, active labs and poster sessions, to encourage interaction and the exchange of knowledge among participants.
The RUS, Network of Universities for Sustainable Development, sponsorships the workshop “Efficiency of WM policies in Universities” organised by the Resources and Waste Working Group, coordinated by Eleonora Perotto, Politecnico di Milano.
The event, scheduled for 15 October (in the morning), will feature Giovanni De Feo (UniSA), Maria Cristina Lavagnolo (UniPD) and Eleonora Perotto (PoliMI) as speakers and aims to be an opportunity for discussion on university policies for waste prevention and efficient management, with a particular focus on student involvement.
In particular, a number of initiatives implemented by public and private universities will be shared, aimed at reducing (through responsible purchasing policies and reuse of goods), recycling and upcycling waste.
Among the universities that are members of the RUS, the following responded to the Call for best practices: PoliMi, PoliTO, UniBocconi, UniBO, UniCA, UniFI, UniGE, UniPD, UniPI, UniPV, UniRoma1, UniSA, UniSI, UniVE.
